Head Coach - John Stevanja

John has been involved in the game, both as a player and as a trainer since he was a youth. John played the position of goalkeeper at an elite youth and senior level, and was recruited for the University of the Incarnate Word in Texas (NCAA D1), prior to leaving for training and trials in Europe. He played at the professional level in Australia for Sydney United 58 and Marconi Stallions and in Europe trialing for clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and Bury FC in England to name a few. John represented New South Wales at a 'Schoolboy' level. 

John always strives to help develop players, and was the founder of Keeper Skool, one of the leading online goalkeeper training and development resources to assist the competitive level goalkeeper. He also wrote one of the leading resources in the development of goalkeeping, The G Code, which has been used by goalkeeping trainers around the world.  John is also a registered fitness instructor, with global certification from FISAF and holds his youth coaching license with advanced standing from Football Federation Australia. 

For over a decade, John has been involved in helping provide a pathway for student athletes into the USA college soccer system via his company Upper 90 College APAC. He has helped place hundreds of talented soccer players into some of the very best college soccer programs in the USA. Many of his clients have become Academic All American's, have graduated with degrees from some of the very best academic schools in the USA, and have had the potential to train, play and trial with professional franchises in the USA. 

John has a specific expertise, and passion for youth coaching, with experience as a senior coach (specifically goalkeeper coach) across the National Premier Leagues and right up to the A-League level in Australia for over 20 years.

He has helped coach, develop and mentor former and current youth national team goalkeepers for Australia, both within a club and private coaching environment. John has also worked along current senior A-League coaches assisting in coaching on field players who have gone onto professional contracts in the Australian A-League and abroad.

Outside of this, John has worked for many grassroots clubs over many decades, and still coaches many youth association players as he has always had a passion for developing basic technical & tactical skill sets & formulating the character traits to help players succeed at higher levels of the game.

Apart from his experience in sports, John has held senior sales management positions across various fields.
